B.A./ B.Sc. / B.Com (Honours with or without Research) and
SEMESTER WISE THREE-YEAR B.A /B.Sc (MULTIDISCIPLINARY)
/ B.Com COURSES OF STUDIES
UNDER
[CURRICULUM AND CREDIT FRAMEWORK (CCF, 2022)]
under the affiliation of Calcutta University.
There is an exit option after completion of Second Semester (certificate), Forth Semester (Diploma) and Sixth Semester (Degree).
• Admission in First Semester of Four Year B.A/B.Sc./B.Com (Honours Or Honours with Research courses) and Three Year B.A/B.Sc./B.Com Courses for the session 2023 - 2024 will be done strictly on Online Basis. Online Application Form will be available from the College website www.dchcollege-admission.org from 1st July 2023.

• All admissions shall be guided by the relevant guidelines of the University of Calcutta.
• A candidate may be admitted to the first semester of Four Year B.A/B.Sc./B.Com (Honours Or Honours with Research courses) and Three Year B.A/B.Sc./B.Com Courses on passing H.S. (10 + 2) Examination. (except Vocational Course & Distance Education Course)
• A candidate who passed HS or equivalent examination (except Vocational Course & Distance Education Course) during the year 2021 , 2022 or 2023 are allowed to aplly in four year or three B.A., B.Sc., B.Com courses.
• For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the B.A./B.Sc./ (Single-Major) Courses, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a student. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.
• a) A student taking up Major Course in a subject must have obtained: i. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
Or
ii. 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
Or
iii. 50% marks in the aggregate when the student has not studied the subject in his/her
previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
(b) Students belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Major Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be. (c) Seat reservation for admission in the first year class of four-year (eight semesters) degree courses of studies shall be guided by the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission), Act, 2013 and the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014 and Memorandum No. 339-Edn (CS)/OM-74L/2023, dt. 26.05.2023.
• A candidate who failed in a subject in HS or equivalent examination is not allowed to take that subject neither as Major nor as Minor Subject.
• While applying for admission, a candidate belonging to EWS/S.C/S.T/ OBC-A/OBC-B category is to upload the certificate issued by D.M., A.D.M. ,S.D.O during application. No other certificates will be accepted except those mentioned above. DIFFERENTLY ABLED candidates are also to upload the certificate issued by Sub-Divisional Medical Officer.
• A candidate who has participated in sports in Sub-Division level, district level or state level are to upload certificates from proper authorities.
1. The college reserves the right to admission. Submission of the application form along with requisite fees does not guarantee admission of the applicant.
2. The applicants must note that all admissions are provisional and subject to C.U. approval.
3. Any false information furnished in the application form is a punishable offence and renders cancellation of the candidature even if he/she gets admitted.
4. Eligibility to appear in C.U. Examinations are subject to attendance in classes as per C.U. norms.
5A) student attending at least 75% of the total number of classes* held shall be allowed to sit for
the concerned Semester Examinations subject to fulfillment of other conditions laid down in the
regulations. 5C. A candidate attending less than 60% of classes in one or more subjects/groups of subjects will not be allowed to appear at the concerned examination. 6) Attendance in a subject/group of subjects shall be counted from the date of commencement of classes or admission to the course whichever is later. 7. As per the recent verdict of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, ragging and sexual harassment in any form are criminal offences. Students involved in either of these unlawful events will be liable to disciplinary action taken by the competent authorities. Also, students have to abide by the discipline in the College and the rules framed by the Calcutta University. Candidates with short fall of attendance in their classes will be taken disciplinary action as per C.U. guidelines.
5B) A student attending at least 60% but less than 75% of the total number of classes* held shall be
allowed to sit for the concerned Semester Examinations subject to the payment of prescribed
condonation fees and fulfillment of other conditions laid down in the regulations.
