Dhruba Chand Halder College(formerly - Dakshin Barasat College),a NAAC Accredated co-educational Non-Government college, affilated to the University of Calcutta, situated near Dakshin Barasat Railway Station in Sealdah-Lakshmikantapur-Kakdwip-Namkhana section was established in 1965. The college is included in the list of colleges maintained under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. This college in South 24-Paraganas is at a distance of hardly 40 kms. from Kolkata, but it is quiet haven away from the hustle and bustle and pollution of the city life.

Admission in the session 2024-25 will be conducted through Centralised Admission Portal

Apply for your favourite subject through the Centralized Admission portal

Application can be done up to 7th July

Key feature of the Admission Portal:

  1. Any student who has qualified (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognised Board/Council/Equivalent body can apply for admission to the Undergraduate Courses.
  2. An applicant can register, create profile and upload relevant data and documents required for admission.
  3. LAn applicant can apply for a maximum of 25 courses in one or multiple Higher Educational Institutions.
  4. An applicant can create a Preference List, Institution-wise and Course-wise.
  5. Merit List will be system-generated, Institution and Course-wise.
  6. Candidates will be allotted seat based on their highest available (at that material point of time) preferences based on merit rank and availability of seats.'
  7. An applicant will get the scope of upgrading to higher available preference.
