This college was set up with financial contributions by two philanthropists- Dr. Dhruba Chan Halder , an active physician hailing from Gocharan and Baruni Devi, a kind hearted woman of Malighat village.
Under the leadership of Sri Sailendranath Halder, our founder Principal, three main streams of study, viz. Arts, Science and Commerce were set up, which soon became full-fledged units.
